Jennifer Tonn - President
Jennifer Tonn, RN, BScN, CCHC(C)
Jennifer is a Public Health Nurse at the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, currently working in the area of Chronic Disease Prevention - Tobacco. She has also served as a Project Coordinator for the RNAO Smoking Cessation Best Practice Initiative and a Community Health Centre Liaison for the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
Jennifer is currently the President of CHNIG. She has previously held the roles of OPHA Liaison, Professional Practice Lead for Public Health, and President-elect. Jennifer is currently a member of the CHNC Certification Standing Committee, has been Co-Chair of the National Community Health Nursing Conference for the last two years, and previously sat on the Ontario Public Health Association Board of Directors.
Jennifer has an Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from York University, and is certified in Community Health Nursing with the Canadian Nurses Association. She has also earned a Tobacco Treatment Specialist Certificate from the University of Toronto.
