Barbara Chyzzy - Research-Education and Professional Development
Barbara has been nursing since 1989 and has worked in the fields of neurosurgery, critical care, primary care and home care in Canada, Vietnam and Korea. Currently she is practising at St. Elizabeth Healthcare and teaches nursing at the University of Toronto and Humber College / University of New Brunswick in the area of community nursing.
Barbara has her Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba and her Master of Nursing / Collaborative Program in Community Development from the University of Toronto. Her MN program specifically focussed on health of communities. Areas of interest include global health, health promotion, homelessness, social determinants of health and childhood disabilities. Barbara is currently pursuing her PhD in nursing at the University of Toronto
