Randie is a newly graduated RN, BScN.  Randie graduated as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in 2008 and decided to continue her education to become a Registered Nurse (RN).  

Through a Community placement as a BScN student at the Out of the Cold program in Waterloo, Randie developed a love for community nursing, and has taken interest in the issues surrounding poverty and homelessness.

 

Throughout her time as a student, Randie became involved in both RNAO and CHNIG as a student representative, holding many events surrounding Community Health, poverty in Canada, and political action.

Randie is currently working in a rural emergency department; becoming widely aware of the social determinants of health, and the needs and challenges rural communities face.
