Professional Nursing Practices
Role Description for the Professional Nursing Practice Committee:

Monitor developments in sub sectors of community health nursing practice. (e.g Home health and public health)

Develop position statements on community health nursing practice as necessary.

Give input into RNAO on nursing practice issues as they relate to CHNs.

Represent CHNIG on related committees as requested by the President or Executive Committee

Identify professional practice issues relevant to community health nursing and bring forward to CHNIG Exectutive

Represents CHNIG at the Public Health Nurse advisory group or appoints a designate
The Professional Nursing Practice Committee is a great way to keep current on what is happening and provide input into shaping the many issues facing community health nursing.
We would like to extend an invitation to you to participate on the team. We meet by teleconference about four times a year for an hour and it is a great way to connect with other nurses and understand the broad issues in community health. If you are interested, please let us know.
