11 Oct Action Alert – Demand that political leaders take immediate action to release John Greyson and Tarek Loubani

Over 1,000 of your colleagues have made their voices heard by signing, it’s not too late for you to have your voice heard.

The ongoing detention of two Canadians, Tarek Loubani, an emergency room physician and John Greyson, a filmmaker and professor at York University is deeply troubling. The two were arrested by Egyptian authorities on August 16 and continue to be held against their will as authorities investigate the events that lead to their arrest following a large protest on the streets of Cairo.

At the end of September, prosecutors again extended their imprisonment for an additional 45 days. To date, the two have had no contact with loved ones. And there are reports the two have been beaten and interrogated

What can YOU do?

Sign and send a letter demanding that Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, and Wael Aboul-Magd, Egyptian Ambassador to Canada, take immediate action to release John and Tarek.
