30 May Calling all school-based PHNs and CHNs

A survey is being conducted by Drs Erin Maughan, Laura Jannone and Regina Lee of the National Association of School Nurses [NASN] who are interested in school nursing practice around the world. The purpose of the survey is to 1) assess the role/responsibilities of school nurses in different countries and 2) explore National/State/Province policies and practices regarding school health services. This information will be used to learn about similarities and differences in the practice of school nurses around the world, and possibly find ways to improve networking among school nurses.

It is an on-line survey which includes questions regarding a nurse’s practice as a school nurse. Some questions require clicking next to the appropriate answer, others require scrolling the drop down menu and then clicking on your response. Participation in the survey is completely voluntary, and participants may stop at any time without consequent or duress. They have tried to be comprehensive, realizing that school nursing is practiced very differently in different countries; so some questions will be more applicable than others to Canadian nurses.

The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. NASN uses a premium version of Survey Monkey that encrypts your answers (VeriSign Certificate Version 3, 128 bit encryption).  The responses to the survey are anonymous.
