Invitation from The National Collaborating Centres for Public Health

The National Collaborating Centres for Public Health, in collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), are conducting a series of consultations to gather broad and diverse perspectives from the public health community on important topics shaping the future of public health in Canada.

Share your ideas and perspectives!
We invite you to participate and contribute in Toronto. Your input and feedback are important to inform the future of public health in Canada.

About the Consultations

Our consultations center around two pivotal public health projects:

Public Health Surveillance 2030: In collaboration with PHAC, the aim of this project is to develop a vision for Public Health Surveillance in Canada. The goal is to define a high-functioning surveillance ecosystem, identify strengths, propose necessary changes, and describe steps to realize this vision.

2024 Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada: Responding to calls to update the 2008 Core Competencies, PHAC has commissioned the National Collaborating Centres for Public Health to:

1. Propose structures and processes for the future oversight and governance of the Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada.

2. Update the 2008 Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada through engagement with the Canadian public health community.
