Nicolette Slovitt is the representative for Professional Practice – Public Health on the CHNIG board. In her day-to-day work she is the Consultant for Professional Practice at Toronto Public Health. In this role, she supports, not only nurses, but also physicians, dietitians, dental staff, health inspectors and other allied health members of staff with professional practice issues.

The Aging, Community and Health Research Unit (ACHRU) at McMaster University has completed research surrounding the care of Older Adults and their Families within the community setting.

The Health Promotion Seminar Series is a collaborative effort between the de Souza Institute, the Community Health Nurses’ Initiatives Group (CHNIG) and the Community Health Nurses of Canada (CHNC). The seminars offer an opportunity for professional development for nurses working in all domains of practice: community or acute care.
