Program Changes
As you may be aware, there are several changes to the Skills Online program. In the past, Skills Online modules had to cap registration numbers, and required pre-requisites for all of the modules. Beginning this session, Skills Online will introduce the following changes to the program:
- reduced wait lists for each learning module;
- fewer prerequisites;
- low-cost administration fee for facilitated modules ($75 – $175),
- self-directed modules continue to be offered at no cost;
- modules are mapped to the Core Competencies for Public Health in
- Canada; and,
- new modules in development to be launched in 2013 and beyond (Privacy and Confidentiality for Public HealthPractitioners, Health Literacy, Introduction to Core Competencies, and Introduction to Evaluation).
These changes will allow more learners to participate in the Skills Online program, as well as help to upport sustainability of the program and ongoing improvement and expansion of the modules being offered.
Instructions for payment are provided during the registration process.
