Students from the UofT Lawrence. S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing & the Waakebiness- Bryce Institute for Indigenous Health have organized a full day event on Indigenous Perspectives on Trauma-Informed Care.
Through a decolonized lens, we are taking a look at the effects and outcomes of colonialism and learning about trauma, wellness and healing from an Indigenous perspective.
- Plenary sessions on Indigenous trauma-informed policy, women engagement,Indigenous wellness, & Indigenous health promotion and harm reduction
- Resource fair featuring some of the most important Indigenous organizations in the GTA
- Breakout sessions highlighting the outcomes of intergenerational trauma and approaches to healing
