24 Mar Study: From Boomers to Gen Y

Are You a Nurse from the Gen X, Gen Y or Boomer Generations?

Dr. Judith MacDonnell from York University is leading a study that is examining generational differences in nursing activism. This study, From Boomers to Gen Y: Exploring the Intersection of Generational and Career Dynamics in Nurses’ Activism, is supported by funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.

We will be interviewing 90 nurses and nursing students across generations to share their experiences and understandings of activism in their lives in order to better understand the issues and to create supportive environments. Participants will receive a small honorarium for their participation.

We will be scheduling individual interviews and focus groups with Ontario RNs in the near future and would greatly appreciate your participation. Please note that we place a priority on confidentiality. Information that could identify individuals or specific organizations will be protected.

If you are interested in assisting us in this important project—or if you would like more information about participating in an individual interview or a focus group of nurses,  please contact:
